Integrity is the word that best defines the accounting firm of Robins, Eskew, Smith & Jordan. From our first office in College Park, Georgia, we have grown to an nine-partner firm with four offices throughout metro Atlanta. Our desire is to build a relationship with our clients, and in the process, provide a level of accounting service that will exceed your expectations.

Our History

On November 1, 1980, Herbert E. Robins III and Clair E. Eskew formed the firm of Herbert E. Robins, III and Associates. Over the past three decades, RESJ has experienced numerous changes and substantial growth. The firm now has four locations throughout the Atlanta, Georgia area:  Fayetteville in Fayette County, managed by Paul Smith and Kris Parker; Eagles Landing in Henry County, managed by Dan Clum, Bart Robins and Bryant Trotter; Northlake in Atlanta, managed by Lee Jordan; and Suwanee in Gwinnett County, managed by Greg Pace and Melanie Keeling. Herbert E. Robins, III remains the senior managing partner of the firm.

Eddie is the founding and Senior Managing Partner of RESJ with more than 40 years of experience serving clients in a broad range of industries including non-profits, medical, and construction. He specializes in small business tax and financial consulting, auditing, estate planning and non-profit directional consulting. He is located in our Henry County office. Eddie holds a BBA and an MBA from Georgia State University. He has practiced as a CPA in Georgia since 1971 and is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

He has served in various civic and professional leadership roles within the community: Local Bank Board Director, Private College Board Member, Non-Profit Entity Board Member, and Church Deacon, Board Chairman, and Treasurer.

Eddie and his wife, Sherrill, live in McDonough, Georgia. They have two grown sons and three grandchildren.

Dan is the Senior Audit Partner of RESJ. He has more than 30 years experience in the accounting industry, exclusively with RESJ. Dan helps provide oversight to the Eagles Landing office.

Dan has a BA from Bob Jones University. He is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Dan serves in various civic and professional leadership roles within his community. He is a past member of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and a past President of the Southside Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs. Dan is active in his local church and has served as the Deacon Chairman and Finance Chairman.

Dan and his wife, Julie, live in Stockbridge, Georgia, and have three grown children.

Lee manages our Atlanta office, located in the Northlake community. He has 34 years of work experience in the accounting and tax profession, nine years in the corporate industry and 25 years as a partner/owner of a CPA firm.

Lee’s corporate industry experience consists of accounting, auditing, financial planning, and forecasting and budgeting for Fortune 500 companies. His last position in private industry was Assistant Controller for Wells Fargo Armored Service Corporation (a wholly owned subsidiary of Borg Warner). Lee’s public accounting experience consists of management consulting and tax advisory services primarily with individuals and closely-held businesses.

Lee holds a BS from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Georgia State University. Lee earned his CPA in 1987 and he is a member of  the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Lee is a member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Northlake Rotary Club where he was a past treasurer, and is the treasurer of a local youth soccer club. He is active in his church, serving previously as a Deacon, Treasurer, Chairman of Finance and Personnel committees.

Lee lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Elizabeth, and their son. They also have two grown daughters.

Melanie became an RESJ partner in 2004 with the affiliation of RESJ and Williams-Keeling CPAs. She has over 30 years of experience with tax, audit and small business accounting.

Melanie graduated from Mercer University with a BBA in accounting. She has served as a CPA in Georgia since 1989 and is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Melanie is a member and treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Suwanee. She is also a member of both the Suwanee Business Alliance and the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce. She volunteers at her church as a small group leader for fifth grade students.

Melanie lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia, with her husband, Chris, and they have two grown daughters.

Executive Managing Partner

Greg is the Executive Managing Partner with RESJ. Prior to joining RESJ, Greg worked with a medical consulting firm and another local public accounting firm. To date, Greg has over 25 years experience and was promoted to partner in 2001. He specializes in the area of tax planning.

Greg holds a BS in Accounting from Bob Jones University and a Master of Taxation from Georgia State University. He has been a CPA in Georgia since 1991. Greg is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs. Greg is a member of both the tax section and practice management section of these organizations.

Greg and his wife, Amy, presently live in Buford, Georgia, with their two sons. Greg teaches a class for college students in his local church. He previously served as Board Chairman of a private school.

Kris is a Tax Partner and IT Coordinator for RESJ. In addition, Kris helps manage our Fayetteville office. She has more than 25 years of work experience in the areas of income taxation and small business accounting. She was promoted to partner in 2009 and assists in managing the Fayetteville office.

Kris graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a BS in Accounting. She has been a CPA in Georgia since 1994 and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Kris is very involved with her local church and serves as a member of the adult choir as well as a member of the Finance Team.

Kris and her husband, Ken, live near Williamson, Georgia.

Bart is an audit partner at RESJ and assists with managing our Eagles Landing office. He has over 23 years experience in auditing both for-profit and non-profit entities, reviews, compilations and agreed-upon procedures.

Bart holds a BS in Accounting from Bob Jones University and has been a CPA in Georgia since 1996.  Bart is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Georgia Society of CPAs. He is actively involved in his local church.

Tax Partner and Financial Services Coordinator

Paul is the partner-in-charge of our financial planning company, Robins, Eskew, Smith & Jordan Financial Services, LLC. In addition, he manages our Fayetteville office. Paul has over 30 years experience working with privately owned businesses and their owners and has worked extensively to help clients with tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, succession planning, and personal financial planning.

Paul is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a BBA degree in accounting. He is a CPA, a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs. In 1999, he was accredited with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation.

Prior to joining RESJ in 1986, Paul’s previous experience was with Pattillo, Brown & Hill CPAs and Westerfeld & Smith CPAs, both in the state of Texas. Currently, Paul has over 25 years experience with RESJ.

Paul and his wife, Janet, live in Fayetteville, Georgia. They have two grown daughters and two grandchildren. Paul serves as an Elder in his church.

Bryant is a tax partner and has over 17 years of experience in income taxation and small business accounting all with RESJ. He works out of our Eagles Landing office.

Bryant holds a BS in Accounting from Bob Jones University and a Masters of Accountancy from Clemson University. He has been a CPA since 2001 and was promoted to Partner in 2014.

Active in his local church, Bryant has served on various church committees and taught Sunday School. He and his wife Trina live with their four children in McDonough, Georgia.

Kyle is a Tax Senior at RESJ in the Suwanee office. He joined the firm in 2013. Kyle began his career 6 years ago in his hometown of Metter, Georgia.

Kyle is an alumnus of Georgia Southern University, having graduated in 2009 with a BBA in Accounting and Information Systems with a minor in Fraud Examination. He has been a CPA in Georgia since 2012 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Matthew Chandler began working with RESJ in the Suwanee office in 2005. He presently is the audit manager and has over 11 years of experience auditing small to mid-sized entities. Matt specializes in GAAP and financial reporting knowledge for both profit and non-profit entities.

Matt graduated from Bob Jones University with a BS in Accounting. He achieved his Georgia CPA license in 2008, and holds memberships in the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Matthew currently serves on the Georgia Society’s Peer Review Acceptance Body (RAB).

Matt lives in Sugar Hill, Georgia. He is very involved in his local church, serving as a deacon, treasurer, and choir member. He also serves as a volunteer treasurer and board member of a local Duluth food pantry.

Chris is a tax manager with RESJ. She has over 25 years of work experience in both the public and private accounting sectors mostly in the areas of small business accounting and taxation. She has been a team member in the Fayetteville office since 2007.

Chris is a graduate of Robert Morris University with a BS in accounting. She has been a CPA in Georgia since 2007, and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Chris is active in her local church and has served as a long-time member of the Finance Council in addition to other ministries.

Chris and her husband Jim live in Fayetteville with their three children.

Audit Services

Diana Dix joined the Audit Services team at RESJ in 2009. Prior to joining RESJ, she worked as an auditor at a national public accounting firm in Oregon and as an internal auditor at a Fortune 500 company in California. She obtained her CPA license in 1997. Diana enjoys working with a variety of clients at RESJ, including non-profit organizations, construction and manufacturing companies. She is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Diana and her husband enjoy traveling and attending various activities in which their three children are involved.

Aggy has 15 years of experience in the field of taxation, 11 of which have been with RESJ. She has worked with individuals, business entities and non-profit organizations.

Aggy has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Canyon College and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Brayer State University. She obtained her IRS Enrolled Agent Certificate in 2007.

She and her husband Bruno, reside in Fayetteville along with their two children. Aggy actively works with a non-profit organization, bringing hope to older orphans through hosting and adoption.

Steve is an audit manager with RESJ and works in the Eagles Landing office. He has over 25 years of accounting experience in which the majority have been in public accounting working primarily in audit.

Steve holds a BS in Accounting from Georgia College and State University. He achieved his Georgia CPA license in 1995, and holds memberships in the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Steve and his wife, Cristy, presently live in Griffin, Georgia, and they have three children. Steve enjoys reading and jogging.

Al graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in accounting and has an MBA in finance from Georgia State University.

Al is active in his professional, civic and religious communities. He is a past president of the DeKalb chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the Decatur Rotary Club.

He has two grown sons and lives in Dunwoody.

Ann has been with RESJ in the Atlanta office since 2010 when her previous firm, Smith and Raab, PC, was acquired by RESJ. Ann has worked in personal, estate and trust, and corporate income taxation for over 30 years. Prior to practicing in local firms, Ann was an auditor with Arthur Anderson and Fuqua Industries.

Ann holds a BA in Accounting from North Carolina State University and a MBA from the University of Florida. Ann has been a CPA for 38 years. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ann is an active member of her church community, Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, and local community of Decatur, GA. Ann and her husband Steve, live in Decatur, Georgia. They have three adult children and four grandchildren.

Houston’s BA is from the University of Georgia (Atlanta Division) and his MBA is from Emory University.
In his illustrious career, Houston has been a short order cook, sports editor of a daily newspaper, Senior Income Tax Examiner for the Georgia Department of Revenue, Consultant in Charge of Revenue Estimations for the State of Georgia, and a professor at Georgia State University.

More recently, he was a partner in a CPA firm located in Decatur. His firm, Smith & Raab, combined with RESJ on January 1, 2011.

Houston and his wife, Mary, have two grown children, a son and a daughter, and three grandchildren. He is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA), where he is a Ruling Elder.

Carr is a tax manager in our Atlanta office. He moved into public accounting after 25 years of industry experience. Carr held various positions in corporate accounting offices before serving as a division controller.

Carr holds a BS from Columbus State University and an MBA from Georgia State University. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs. He is active in his local church and homeowners association. Carr’s hobbies include gardening and various woodworking projects.

Mike is a Senior Tax Accountant in the Atlanta office.  He is a graduate of Georgia State University and has a Master of Tax degree, as well as Master of Science (Personal Financial Planning) and has several years of public accounting experience.  He received his CPA license in Georgia in 2013 and earned the CFP designation in 2014.  He is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.  Prior to entering into the accounting field, Mike was a Controls & Automation Engineer with Russell Athletic for 17 years.

Mike is married to Anne, and they have two miniature Schnauzers.
